It should at least answer the questions about what the prices will be for the various options.
It will also mean that reviewers start to receive demo machines. Then we’ll find out whether generic third-party hardware (storage, GPUs, other PCIe cards) will actually fit and/or work with these machines. Also the true power demands.

Also I was thinking I might trade in my iMac Pro for a Mac Pro but when I put in my iMac Pro serial number it didn’t come up in the database and said I could only recycle it….um, no!
But that might take the sting off the cost of the new Mac Pro if I could get a couple thousand for my $4500 iMac Pro which is a little over a year old. And I’d have a truly upgradable machine.
Makes sense to me!
Let’s go Apple.
