    September 9, 2005 at 10:11 pm in reply to: 3d glasses effect (blue left / red right)

    For info on 3D anaglyphs check out the “Stereoscopic 3D Web Ring” https://www.deborah.ws/Stereo3D/ or google for “anaglyph” or “stereoscopic”.

    (the red/blue glasses are usually red/cyan. The AE 3D Glasses plug-in does a pretty good job at matching those colors)

    August 22, 2005 at 9:10 am in reply to: Creating a spedometer with GPS-log?

    If you use Garmin MapSource you’ll get the speed and timing from an exported track, no need to calculate it from the coordinates (which can be somewhat tricky).

    Using a spreadsheet program you’ll be able to create text based keyframe data from the log.

    If you can’t find any posts or tutorials on text based keyframe format, do this;
    Create some rotation keyframes in AE, copy them and paste them in a spreadsheet program. You’ll see how to format your GPS speed data to make rotation keyframes. Once you’ve done that you simple copy the text and paste it on a layer.

    Not entirely sure how you’ve done this but if you pre-comped a 5000 x 300 layer to a 720 x 480 comp then the effect won’t have access to more than 720 x 480 pixels at any time. This might cause the cut off you mentioned.

    CC Ball Action is part of Cycore Effects which is bundled with AE 6.5 (full version, not the academic version!).
    Cycore Effects HD can be purchased at https://www.cycorefx.com and from Toolfarm.
    It includes new plug-ins, new features and 16bpc support.
