“Page Turn” plug in problem
I have a rendered movie that is c. 5000 x 300 pixels. It looks like a strip of film with all the frames of live motion (doesn’t matter…it’s rendered already)
I am laying this over a standard 720×480 frame…then scroll it across.
OK so far. Easy enough.
Now, I would like to ‘peel it across the screen’ at the beginning… using page turn plug in.
Left to right.OK so far.
I made a PreComp so image will peel outside of layer bounds (135 degree offset).
OK so far.
But, I can’t get the peel to include any more of the image that currently fits the screen.
The incoming edge of the image chops off (at the point where it lands at the right margin).
(there is quite a few thousand pixels left to scoll across)I’m fiddling with it, but just can’t get this one.
Please help if any body’s got an idea.

Not entirely sure how you’ve done this but if you pre-comped a 5000 x 300 layer to a 720 x 480 comp then the effect won’t have access to more than 720 x 480 pixels at any time. This might cause the cut off you mentioned.

OK…I did it (finally) in this manner:
1. New comp – size 5000 x 3000 pixel
2. Place 5000×300 ‘film clip’ in new comp near bottom (as the ‘peel needs to be from the top)
3. Make Pre-comp of this. Add Page turn effect as required. DO NOT COLLAPSE THIS LAYER
4. Drag&drop this PreComp into the target comp.
5. Adjust anchor point for easier positioning. (she be a big mama) Adjust zoom & positioning.
Although I must revert to the pre-comp to adjust timing etc. this does appear to work.

Serge posted a tutorial a while ago that showes a page peel without any 3rd party plugins. I think he used bezier warp to bend a corner back and forward.
