Thats exactly what I meant. I want to write a title or draw a sketch and have that as a motion graphic that can be used in Vegas.

Any other software? My pockets are not deep enough for Boris RED.

This is a very good plugin, but not the one I was remembering.
Thank you for this response, I find this one handy at times and had forgotten it too.

The one I was thinking of had 3 controls for R,G,B. You could dial down red (or blue, or green) without effecting the other color(s).

I’ll keep looking.

Maybe you have a bad piece of media! Does it play at 1.0 time? How about if you replace it with another AVCHD clip and stretch that to 1.16? Sometimes we think it must be something it’s not because of changes that aren’t causing the problem.

When I built my work machine I put a 60 GB as the C drive. The “users” file structure has been redirected to another drive and I have optimized my Windows 7 install for an SSD. I currently have 60-65% capacity on my SSD and have had no problems with it. (1 year of use). So smaller drives will work, you must set up your system correctly.

It is trying to find video1 for the thumbnail media, not the main show.
Here is what I do:
When I replace video1 with video2
I close DVDA and rename video1 (and audio1, if needed) to video1-old.
When I open the project again it will not find video1 and ask me if I want to specify a replacement file.
Then I tell it to use video2. It replaces all occurrences of video1.
It functions like replace media in Vegas.

If you are on a tight budget, then you have a decent machine. My secondary machine has an Intel 2.66 GHz quad core/8GB RAM/2x-nVidia 8800GT. It does well, but I recently re-installed Win7 and “cleaned house”. I am very careful what I do with my computers and I am not in the habit of clogging them up with useless software. I mean to say that I keep them pretty trim. If your computer is the one you would test trial software and freeware, surfing, email and such from the internet, then I would pick-up a used laptop to do all that with and clean out this one by doing a fresh install. You will find *ANY* version of Vegas will run better and be more reliable with a clean system.

I thought I had it right! If the actual number of pixels across are 1440 and are meant to be viewed at 1920 then would not 1.333 be the correct setting?

I don’t work much in 1440 (maybe once or twice) so go with John’s advice. He has more varied workflow than I am used to.
