Set your project setting to the media you’re using. If it’s 1920, setting should be 1920. You can use the get settings from media file button to be sure. Then if you want to deliver in a different format, change it in the render.

It would help you to understand media formats. Look for some tutorials on youtube to get you started.
It will get easier as you gain understanding. Pretty soon you’ll be answering these questions.

You should build it yourself! There are tons of videos on youtube, many posts in here about hardware lists and you could save hundreds of $$$’s.

What kind of MAC were you going to get? An i8 or an i9? Just kidding. You won’t get more performance out of a Mac because the hardware is the same. You will get “perceived stability” at the cost of much less options, both software and hardware.

I am doing just fine with 4 tracks of AVCHD (24Mb/s) on an i7 960 @ 3.20GHz. When one of the tracks is nested and contains chroma key work, things start to slow down. I protect my computer from garbage build-up by having a second one that I can do whatever with.

Not me… yet! I am tempted to pick one up and see what it can do. I had a maxi-switch keyboard 20 years ago and it was the handiest thing I ever owned. I’m going to read the manual and maybe take a chance on it.

I am completely satisfied with VP11. I have it installed on 2 machines, I keep them clean and have had no problems with it. One is an AMD Phenom running win7 and the other is an i7 with win7. I am slow to upgrade my “production” machine only because of some reports here.

You can readjust the placement, see the left side of the pan/crop window.

Maybe they could put it next to the Auto-Edit button. Two clicks and you’re done.

Seriously, I don’t think I’d want that much change applied at once. Working with each audio file give the best control.
