I’ve been (batch) rendering for 16 hours straight. Color correction, noise reduction, levels, and sharpen. No problems so far across multiple files. (But then, I didn’t have problems before.)

  • Eddie,

OK, I can make that screen grayed out on two of the three buttons, Eject & Load, but advanced stays normal. I did this by changing my burn device as the ISO Image writer. Check your Device Name and make sure the DVD burner is the one selected. If this is not easily answered then open up a new thread, because this one will not be getting a lot of new attention.

As far as the screen capture goes… I don’t have the slightest idea why or how to help you.

You are on the right track as far as the files to put into DVDA, glad to hear that.

    OK Eddie,

Here is how I want you to render your project in Vegas…

    First the video:

    then the audio:

then replace the files created in these two steps in DVD Architect:

Your prepare should be less than a few minutes, because no rendering will be required, unless it is for a menu or something small.

    Try it out,

  • ctrl-shift-f is the strongest of the ripple functions, shift-f and just ‘f’ are less powerful. They are best explained in the help file.

  • Yes. After you press the delete key, press the ctrl-shift-f keys and the space goes away. To find your current position press the “” key and Vegas will re-center it.

  • I always use manual ripple, by using the keystrokes. If I turn on auto-ripple, I always mess up my timeline somehow. Play with it.

What are you rendering to? Do you use a codec pack? What other audio/video software is installed on your computer? A few more details would help.

Not to worry Eddie. Take a day off, we will tackle this starting on Monday. I don’t have Vegas 11 installed at home. I will walk you through it with screen shots and comments. I was really impressed at the depth and quality of your project from your screen shots. You’re not just a weekend editor, you got Vegas working for you, you got a good looking DVD menu, you will get past this glitch. You’ll be the guy helping out the next group down the road.

Technically you’re right and I stand corrected. I was using familiar, if incorrect, terms.
