Hi, John–

I’m actually now trying to burn the project in DVDA. I selected all your recommend output options, namely

To render the video:
From the Vegas menu select File | Render As…

In the Render As dialog under Save as type: select Sony AVC (*.mp4;*.m2ts;*.avc)

Under Template: select Blu-ray 1920×1080-60i, 16 Mbps video stream

Click the Save button

But I see that while the extension is .avc, the video is actually AVCHD. Does this mean the output is in fact AVCHD, by any chance?

If not, can you tell me the optimal settings to output to Blu-Ray in DVDA?

Thank you for getting back to me.

It’s SV 9, the source is AVCHD, and I have 2GB of ram.

However, I finally had to call Sony TS and they did have the solution. They first removed all 0 use files (I think that was the ultimate cause), then had me render directly to the C drive rather than the project folder.

This solved the issue and I was finally able to render out the project — not in time unfortunately. But at least it did render.

Wow. First, thanks for the headsup. I didn\’t know anything about all that. I recently bought it and have used exactly once so far. I think I\’ll just keep on staying away from it.

Can I just ask you, what app you use to put the two files together and burn (or preferably, create a blu-ray image, or BDMV folder I can burn several copies from later on)? Is that DVD Architect, or do you prefer Nero or such?

Sorry for the n00bness. Can you step my through this? All I see is Burn to Blu-Ray under Tools. Where do I go exactly to do the export?

As well, is MPEG 2 the highest quality for 1080p material for output to Blu-ray, or is there something better I should use, and sorry, what are the optimal settings for Blu-ray output?
