For what it’s worth, my colour workflow in FCPX is pretty much the same as it would be in Resolve. I colour correct the individual clips in a scene to match, then use an adjustment layer to apply a look across all the corrected clips.

You could possibly apply the correction in the clip browser rather than the timeline and the correction would flow though to all the instances of that clip on the timeline but it’s not something you can do in the timeline – and in all honesty, it sounds like Exactly the right reason to do your grade in something like Resolve.
Alternatively, do your grade on one clip, select the other instances of the clip in the timeline index, and delete the previous grade and then paste the changes.

Absolutely true but the original poster mentioned that they’ve already tried tracking it in AE – and I’m only assuming they used Mocha AE when they tried – so if that failed, the Coremelt plugins aren’t likely to fare any better.—–

When you have huge numbers of files and you want to delete them all at once, I’ve found that you sometimes just have to be patient. FCPX has to delete them and update the database and it can take quite some time.
Might be faster to create a new library and just copy over what you want to keep.

Keep in mind that TrackX and SliceX are both powered by Mocha so if the AE version of Mocha couldn’t track it, they’re probably not going to either.

I haven’t tested this in a couple of versions but creating the folder manually didn’t work – I guess because it doesn’t end up in the FCPX database – but creating a single proxy clip so the folder got made, then adding all the rest manually worked for me.

You might try deleting all the render and cache files and/or copying everything except the render and cache files to a new library.

ProRes 422 is a 10 bit codec across the board. The flavour you choose (LT, 422, HQ, etc) really comes down to the bitrate and how much compression you want to apply. For a feature film, I probably wouldn’t go less than HQ but for most other purposes regular 422 is probably good enough.

Im a little rusty with RAID, but I believe JBOD still has the same limitation. All drives need to be the same size. So your 4tb drive is treated as a 2tb drive so it matches the other three, so your maximum storage is 8tb.
