AE does not handle mp3 well. Transcode that to a .wav first.
Make sure the audio is 48K as 44.1K also creates issues in AE.
Also consider exporting just video from AE and laying in the sound in your editing software.

It looks like this is exactly what was done in that video with the practical used being most visible right at the end of the video.

To elaborate seedRandom() does not generate random numbers itself. It sets the seed value used by random() or any other effects that generate random numbers.

July 8, 2013 at 10:28 pm in reply to: Transparent background to import into premiere pro – not workingJust to test this I exported a quick AE video with alpha. It was exported raw. Output Module “Lossless with Alpha” preset. It worked fine giving the appropriate alpha channel.
Now working with raw exports can be cumbersome to say the least, so make sure that whatever format you are encoding your export into can appropriately handle an alpha channel.

“Same as source” is a little misleading of a title. Remember that AVID evolved from an import only environment rather than the AMA or link based environment you can currently have and Premiere/Final Cut have long used. “Same as source” wants to export MXF media (AVID media) and that can only work if AVID already has the MXF media at hand.
You should be able to export as mov in prorez to get what you want. Though at times it is worth doing a MXF mixdown of your audio and video tracks and then exporting from that (which will let you export “same as source” if you want the export to be MXF).

AE definitely does not like certain formats of audio. Shouldn’t be unexpected, it isn’t a sound editing suite.
Is the audio waveform showuping up in AE?
Either way, transcoding the audio is usually the most efficient way to handle this.

Were the imported projects a different version than 5.5?
Have you checked to make sure the cameras haven’t been modified in the import?
Have you tried duplicating the camera and deleting the original?

Select the layer with the masks on it. Hit “t” twice. This should bring up all of the mask opacities. You can some or all of them and make changes to all at the same time, though this would mean that the keyframes will be placed in the same spot.
AE is not photoshop. It reads PSD files extremely well, but it will not make changes to PSD files. You can sort of cut up layers in AE, kind of like what you just did, but its certainly going to be faster to do it in PS. Depending on what changes you made, you won’t necessarily even need to bring the PSD file back into AE as it will update just by looking at the PSD file. Sometimes you may have to “reload footage”, though I’m not certain if AE will handle addition and subtraction of layers from the PSD file or just modification of existing layers.
