Going through another site (like Google video) is probably a good idea. I’ve had good sucess with Youtube. Youtube videos can also be embedded in blogs. Here’s what I’ve had success with:
Make a 4×3 DV project and drag your HDV sequence into it. It will make a letterboxed video image.
Go to FILE -> EXPORT -> QUICKTIME CONVERSION
Set it to a quicktime movie with these settings:
VIDEO
H.264
100 kilobits per second
640×480
AUDIO
AAC
MONO – 41.1 khz
128 bit
===================
Your file has to be less than 10 minutes AND under 100 MB. If it’s longer than 10 minutes, make it into 2 parts.
If you get a file smaller than 100 MB, go back in and raise the video bit rate higher. Keep trying until you get something between 90-99 MB. Youtube will compress it again once you submit it, so give it the largest file you can!
