    Mostly if you’re rendering video in a timeline, compressing video for web use, or encoding a DVD. For those kind of long renders, you’ll get slightly faster times.

    That’s about it. For anything you do while interacting with the computer, you won’t notice a difference.

    It’s not a huge difference. When compressing a video, you might shave off 5-10 seconds off of a two minute render. For the extra $250, I’d rather get a bigger hard drive or something.
