April 17, 2011 at 3:50 pm in reply to: Audio delay probs on DVD from Architect 4

Ok, following up on my earlier post … I have some more information. The background is the movie was shot on an EX-1 at 1080p 24f.
Project was edited in FCP and rendered out for Blu-Ray in the specs below.
When the editor went to burn an SD version he says the specs were the same except the “name, description, file size, usage”.

My problem is putting the SD version into Architect it will “render” and the resulting video has an audio sync problem. The audio is running about 1/2 a second behind by the end of the movie.

So I have three files, an HD version with the below specs, an SD version with the below specs with “name, description, file size, usage” changed, and an audio (ac3) file with the below specs (so I’m using the same audio file for both video files).

I’m simply trying to burn screeners and a master for replication. Does anyone have any advise?

I hope these details make things clearer. I am waiting for the exact SD specs from the editor when he gets home.
I did already check Architect for the frame rate setting and it is at 23.9, so that’s not the problem.

  • I am in a similar boat here, I captured my 1080 24f with NeoHD and edited those files. I like to nest my clips into a final m2t and render from there but am having porblems now. One issue is I used NeoHD trial just to capture since I would most likely not use it again I couldn’t see spending the $250 to buy it. Capturing from this camera was a one time deal.
Now I am going to render and my usual render formats are either giving me errors or bad resolution.
Should I render each scene as MPEG2 and AC3 seperately then reassmeble for a final product when I add titles or is there another work flow I should try. I’m thinking the nesting of the CineForm m2t’s are causing rendering issues??? Several formats for rendering in AVI are not available since I didn’t purchase it.
Is there any way to do this without having to purchase NEO?
Thanks …. from another self taught rookie.

I am having the same problem. I’ve never had an issue with the darkness before but the project I am working on now is rendering the same way. I have two projects (1) is 1440 1080 24p and (2)1440 1080 30p. They both come out in WMP about one click low on the brighness. I am running a Dell Ultra Sharp 24″ at home when previewing in Vegas.
Anyone else other than us having this problem?
    Thanks.

Does anyone know if MB works for Vegas 7 or just 8? I can’t find a definitive answer on this.
    Thanks.

I tried to just download Celluloid but everywhere I see it, it’s attahced to Rell Pak and it’s listed at $24.99. Am I missing something?
