What kind of footage are you working with and what are you rendering to? Are you on Vegas 9?

Eveything looks good on the original Vegas timeline. All markers are in the right spot. It’s just on the rendered m2t file. When I render to mpeg or avi the markers are in the right spot. Any ideas on why it’s not working in HDV?

I am taking some 720 60p footage shot on a Panasonic HMC150 and putting it on a 720 30p timeline. I get some nasty ghosting if I don’t disable the resample. Is there something else I should be doing?

I’m using Vegas Pro 9 64-bit. Most of the files on the timeline are AVCHD. I’ve rendered full projects before to mpeg2 with no problem, so this was a bit puzzling. After numerous attempts, I decided to select everything and then paste everything into a blank project. Amazingly, this worked, and I was able to render to mpg2 (HDV 720 30p). Anybody know why this worked and the original project did not?

This was a video vile from a Flip Mino HD.

  • Thanks for the posts guys. Reducing the preview quality didn’t work for me. It was still skippy on the lowest quality (and I couldn’t tell what I was looking at). So I upped the RAM Preview and I’m back in action! It was set at something like 700MB, increased it to 6GB.

Can you expand on selective prerender? Where do I find that and what does it do? Thanks.
