Can’t render to MPEG2
I’ve got a 40 minute video that I am trying to render to mpeg2 but everytime I try I get a message saying “An error occurred while creating the media file 123.m2t. The system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by closing other applications.”
I have 8GB of RAM and no other programs are running. Any suggestions?

What version of SV are you using 32bit or 64bit?
Are your source and destination video and audio files accessing the same drive?
Check for disk space maybe. If you have 2 hard drives try rendering your mpeg2 file to the other drive. -
You can also try converting the m2t file to a Cineform avi, which is way easier on the CPU. Comes fre with Vegas pro7 and 8 I know. I heard 9 discontiued it.

I’m using Vegas Pro 9 64-bit. Most of the files on the timeline are AVCHD. I’ve rendered full projects before to mpeg2 with no problem, so this was a bit puzzling. After numerous attempts, I decided to select everything and then paste everything into a blank project. Amazingly, this worked, and I was able to render to mpg2 (HDV 720 30p). Anybody know why this worked and the original project did not?

Jason, I’ve read about this happening to numerous users and have never seen a rational explanation as to why it now works.
Count your blessings that it did work and move on to the next project 🙂
