Might be able to help but just cant picture what your trying to accomplish… are trying to animate the texture?

Thank you for the reply…
The deflector idea, still get overlapping.
Mograph I had not thought about works fairly decent. I am unfamiliar with your last suggestion of TPdynamics nodes or presets, are you referring to Xpresso? Would you be so kind as to explain? If you don’t have time to explain thoroughly, just point me in the right direction and I’ll figure it out from there!
Thanks for the help!

Hi,
If you are referring to the face of the text object not having bumping on your version you might try adjusting the projection in the texture tag options (attributes manager bottom right as you have it set up). More than likely you have UVW mapping set (the default setting). Try a few of the different settings (more than likely spacial or cubic). It does not look like you have made the object editable, which can sometimes (in various situations) cause “issues” with material settings.
Good day sir…

I use a Wacom as well and have found it easier set up tablet key preferences to utilize the alt key…for some reason not using the keyboard helps with this.
Cheers!

In my own opinion, Apple makes a good product, but face it your paying substantially more for a name rather than a product. I almost hate to say it as I’m not really into large computer manufacturers but HP and Acer make some really good monitors which would suit your needs quite handsomely. I would look into it.

I would have to remove the child objects and apply the dynamics tags individually as it would not let me make the entire tree editable (I tried!) This is doable but will I have to add the point cache tag to each of the children thereafter? or is there a quicker method?
Thanks for the reply by the way (you rule my friend…you rule!)

It sounds like you have projection set to UVW mapping. On your material tag in the object manager click on the icon once (not twice or you simply get the material editor) In the attributes manager under “projection” try the cubic setting. I don’t know what your trying to accomplish so try some different settings…and you might play with the offset and/or tiles at the bottom.
Hope this helped.

No GI, but I am using glow for the outer haze of the planet. And that seems to be what is flickering as well.

May 22, 2011 at 9:45 pm in reply to: How do i create a cube with different coloured sides ?As im sure you have become aware, there are usually a hundred different ways to do almost the same thing in C4D…this is just one way to do what you are asking.
You can assign a selection to each side and then assign a new material to each selection. So, select a side of the cube, and under the selection tab at the top go to the bottom and hit “set selection”. A diamond shape tag will appear next to you object in the object manager. Create a new material and make it whatever color you wish and drop it onto your object. The new mat will make the entire object that new material, so to have it show only on your selection click on your material tag. Click and drag your selection tag into the box titled “selection” this will make only that side of the cube whatever color you assigned.
Hope this helped!

Are you referring to animating them moving along that path, or just getting them into the path?
