updated post….. in addition, after doing some reading I have an idea as to a hypothetical workflow … lemme know what you guys think:

film originates on 4-perf 35. Telecine to 30frame video. Digitze using flex files into FCP. Use Cinema Tools to do a reverse-telecine to dump extra frames. Edit 24fps video in FCP.

That’s as far as I’ve gotten…

That makes sense, but what is weird is that it’s only some of the clips, not all of them. They were all shot on the same format and same camera models (F900).

When you choose “Export Audio to OMF” there is an option to include handles and an input box for you to set the length of the handles. There is also a checkbox to include crossfade transisitons.

As far as importing an OMF I believe you are correct in your assumptions. You should have your sound guy (or yourself if it’s you) bounce the protools session to aiff then import that back in to FCP
