    View>New Viewer
Then drag the window to the right or left of the other viewer until you get the option to place it in its own undocked window.

Even a simple loop expression added to a few keyframes you’ve already created would help.
Option/Alt click the stopwatch. Click the triangle in the expression area and choose property>loopOut(type = “cycle”, numKeyframes = 0) OR loopOutDuration(type = “cycle”, duration = 0)
Your first and last keyframe generally need to be identical.

Are you familiar with displacement maps?
A well created displacement map should get you started.

Just to clarify, you are talking about decreasing depth of field.
This is much easier to do in post than increasing depth of field would be.

My assumption is your keyframe interpolation is set to bezier instead of linear.
If you aren’t familiar with these terms, look up “Interpolation methods” in AE Help and watch Aharon’s tutorials on the “boomerang effect.”

October 13, 2008 at 9:12 pm in reply to: how many fonts in an AE project?

    Go to File>Collect Files
    Check “Generate Report Only”
Click “Save” and choose a location.

    Open the text file.
Near the bottom, you should see some text that says:
    “Layer: Text Layer
    External dependencies: ”
Below it should list all fonts used in the project.

If there is an easier way, I don’t know it.
InDesign collects fonts whenever you package a project (similar to AE’s Collect Files), but I have not found a way to do the same in AE.

If someone knows how, share, please.

Have you considered doing this as a practical effect using makeup?
Unless there are safety concerns, why not do it practically and use post to tweak it?

There are two ways to do this:

    1. Click in the titlebar area where the lock, solo switch, etc. (A/V features) reside.
Drag it to the right into a spot where you’d like it to appear.

    2. right-click (ctrl-click) the titlebar and select “keys”.

option 2 is probably specifically what you were asking about.
