Check out these tutorials. They are premium so you have to pay, but it’s reasonably priced. There are 3 tuts total.

I would keyframe the move of the cam from left/right or right/left as the crow flies. Then, using the front camera view, add a keyframe in the middle of the move line in the preview window and drag it up (Make sure the scrubber is at the half-way point between the two keyframes). Now the cam move should look like an upside-down V. Change the interpolation of the keyframes to bezier. (Right click on the higlighted keyframes to do this). Also right click on the highlighted keyframes and select ‘Rove across time’
    That should do it.

Here’s a tutorial that goes over the Sine wave math for AE. It’s quite rambling and he makes a lot of mistakes that get corrected later but, nonetheless, it’s quite informative. You may get some ideas.

In the expressions, is there a way to limit the pixel range for top and bottom movement?

I don’t know of any tutorials but you could purchase this for $4 and dissect it or even use it.

You’d have to track the movement of the light (Postition, Rotation, and Scale) – I’d use Mocha. Put a masked layer over the light and apply the tracking data. Mess with the layer using Hue and Saturation and layer styles. See this video for tracking:

Can you duplicate the text and then use the fill effect on the background text? If the text has an alpha channel the color will show thru under the top layer of text. Then just parent the back one to the front one.

Render it out of your 3D program using GI and/or ambient occlusion. Needs a blur; you can do it in AE. CC Force Motion blur on the logo comp only. The shadow of the logo increases as it approached the camera. Is that what you wanted the lighting to do in the shot?

Maybe a slider control that adjusts the histogram of the levels effect?
