  • “Compressor needs six discrete tracks (SMPTE order) as stated by warren to create Dolby 5.1 .ac3 files.”

What is this order exactly? Sorry I haven’t been able to find any info on this. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind I figured it out. I was trying to make it harder than it had to be. I just ALT clicked on the my clips SCALE property and pick whipped the SCALE property on the Null with the tracking data applied and then just added *5 to the end of the expression to adjust the scale a bit more. I was making it harder by trying to do this in 3D space when I didnt need to. Hope this helps someone.

No, I tried that and it just doesn’t even try to do anything. It acts like I just clicked out of the FILE drop down box.

I have been asked to bring in DPX files as a DPX sequence into COLOR and can’t figure out how to import anything into COLOR except by going through FCP. They are needing to color correct LOG DPX sequences using COLOR. Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough I was hoping it was something really quick and easy. Thanks in advance.

Thank you guys for the link but this is not what I am looking for. Their clone tool just grabs from the same frame you are on and you can’t paint it on (so you are very limited with this plugin). not to mention it’s incredibly slow to use when you have thousands of dust specks in the footage. what I am looking for must provide the ability to hand paint (using a wacom tablet) on to the current frame. it must reference either the previous or the next frame in the clip. this is hands down the best way to do this size of a job. and it also must be done in realtime not in a program that uses RAM previewing like after effects or combustion or motion or shake.

i had this problem a while back and only by posting on here did i receive an answer. it actually opened up a pretty lengthy debate of trial and error. what we all found out is that after effects has a bug. to fix this make sure you turn off the option “Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously” in preferences under multiprocessing. This should fix it. Plus i haven’t really found that it renders too much quicker with that turned on anyway. hope this works for you like it did for me.

thanks for the suggestions but I am looking for a manual option. I don’t want to leave this up to a program or plugin to hopefully clean up the dust. as for the option using automatic duck… we have automatic duck but we do not have autodesk’s combustion. is it real time or is it like after effects? i have after effects cs3 right now. basically what i need is the ability to watch the film in realtime and then stop it when i see dust or a scratch and then fix the scratch with in a matter of seconds. this is the nice part about the avid ds but we are phasing it out so continuing in the same way is not an option. thanks again guys.
