I can see your point… to a degree, but I think I could easily get a couple more years out of FCP 7. I ran FCP 5 on Tiger for well over 3 years and only upgraded because I wanted, not needed, some features. I’m no Hollywood post house, though… perhaps I’m just less demanding than everyone else.

That is not from Panasonic and it doesn’t look like it will work with the GH2.

You might want to do some more research on this. From what I’ve read, recording the HDMI output is problematic. The good news is, the native AVCHD looks great.

You would also need the DC coupler from Panasonic (DMW-DCC8). The problem is, the Switronix appears to have a female output and the DC coupler has a female input. You might want to call Switronix to get verification that it will work (with some modification or a gender adapter). Let me know how it goes!Jason Jenkins

My ND Grad was about $180 when I bought it a few years ago. I think it’s glass. It came in a nice padded cordura pouch with a large microfiber cleaning cloth. They seem pretty nice to me.

I’ve got a Formatt 4″x4″ graduated ND. When you’ve got earth and sky in one shot it definitely helps even out the exposure. I also have a Formatt polarizer that helps make the image pop. I should be getting my Lightcraft Workshop Fader ND any day. It’s going to be fun to experiment with long exposure timelapses.

Are you able to lay hands on it? I had the power switch on mine go out at one point, so check that to make sure it powers up immediately and repeatedly.
