    Hey guys:
I’m about to purchase a GH2 and a set of IDX V mount batteries.
Does B&H sell a power/D tap cable for the GH2 allowing you to use v mount or AB batteries ? And if not can someone recommend one ?

    Thank
    Nigel

I’ve been looking into the same thing and this is what I have found: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/655687-REG/Switronix_XP_DSLR_P_XP_DSLR_P_Power_Tap.html
You would also need the DC coupler from Panasonic (DMW-DCC8). The problem is, the Switronix appears to have a female output and the DC coupler has a female input. You might want to call Switronix to get verification that it will work (with some modification or a gender adapter). Let me know how it goes!

I am not familiar with the DC power you are looking at, but this works and for not much money.

    Hey Thanks guys:

Sorry but i cant do that Kathe, Need to power camera and other stuff at the same time. Found the from panasonic:

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=WishList.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=588095&is=REG

this and the switronix will work well.

gonna be using a Sound devices pix box to record Prores out the HDMI, so need to power that as well so im getting this splitter:
    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=WishList.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=204182&is=REG

and may need to power a monitor as well, but ill wait to see how good the PIX monitor is.

That is not from Panasonic and it doesn’t look like it will work with the GH2.

You might want to do some more research on this. From what I’ve read, recording the HDMI output is problematic. The good news is, the native AVCHD looks great.

Uh-oh, hope I didn’t give false impression that I made this video! It was produced by Phil Hover soarproductions.com who deserves loads of credit for it.
