Ctrl+S to expand audio/video and then trim your video back as far as you need while leaving the audio in place.

Keep in mind these are consumer class 5400RPM drives with half the MTBF rating of the HGST UltraStar Enterprise Class drives. I know it’s tempting because of the price point, but I don’t think I would risk it.

The original A7S is better in low light than the new A7R II. The A7R is all about resolution, not sensitivity.

It’s true that the GH4 is not a good low light camera. If low light shooting is a priority, you may want to look elsewhere. I’m a GH4 owner, but I really don’t know how it compares to the Canons. That being said, the Gh4 is fantastic in so many ways. Do you have any lenses or are you starting from ground zero?

Yes. Autofocus is not usable for video, unfortunately. There are occasions when it would come in handy.

Stacy: What you really want is a RAID system with some data redundancy. All hard drives will fail, so having a RAID 5 or RAID 6 can save your data from going bye-bye forever. I just had a hard drive fail in my external RAID 5 array. I pulled the dead drive, put in a new one and rebuilt the array. No data lost.
