I have 2 EX-3’s both with the VFGadgets version with 15mm rod adapter at bottom. Great for tripod stuff, and rod mount at bottom makes the lens height the same as a full size camera. So no need for riser when using Prompters.
And you will need the rods for any kind of adapter and matte box, follow focus etc. That is a must in my book. DM has not rod mount.
Haven’t bothered with the shoulder mount part, because unless your going to put a full size “brick” on the back that weighs close to 4-5 pounds. Only then will you have true balance. And I don’t think you want that other contraption hanging 12″ behind your back, you turn and split someones head open. If you go with the dionics batteries they only weigh like 2 pounds. And your still going to be front heavy. And you can get the fater Sony or Swit batteries and 2 or more would cover your day just fine. IMO bigger batt are overkill and more costly.
For hand held I use the Cavision shoulder mount system with hand grips.
It’s always going to be a awkward camera to hand hold.

Buy the lens, adapter will always be inferior to a real lens. I have that lens and it’s great.

I have gotten that message before, and it had to do with the device I was transferring to. It was a hard drive that was not formatted correctly. So you may have a problem with your destination device.

Here’s the Fujinon XS8X4AS-XB8 which fits right on EX and is a 4mm at its widest. This is about the widest you can go before fisheye, or bad adapter that bends at edges.

I own one and it looks and works great.

Your welcome. I would note that a movie is probably not the best recommendation on camera matching for a TV show. They are using film to tape type high dollar color correctors, used in film transfers. They have tons of time and money to spend on color correcting and matching. TV needs to be matched out of the can. IMO

There is a 3 part series on AbelCine tech website on matching a EX-3 to a Panasonic 3700.
There is only part one up yet, but you can learn about white shading and making sure the the WB presets match on both cameras.

The adapter you have is for 1/2 broadcast zoom lens. You need the Adaptimax.
