I have them organized into bins…

Here’s a screenshot of how my project is organized.

If I export this…it sends all clips (even the 4 at the bottom) out with the batch list. REGARDLESS of what I have selected.

[Andy Mees] “workaround seems to be to drop them in a separate bin”

Do you mean in a separate PROJECT?

    Yes…I got that.

But from the discussion we’ve been having 720p is NOT interlaced. And runs at 60 (59.94) progressive frames per second.

If that is the case, then the preset for 720p in AE should be a frame rate of 59.94.

    Correct?

The way my experience is (FCP7) is when I export -> Batch List. It exports EVERY clip in my project REGARDLESS of what I have selected.

it does help…thank you. I’ve been with FCP for 6 months or so and I’m just still so much slower than AVID…so I’ve been considering having both.

Are you using Media Composer? Software only?

I don’t know if any of you guys use After Effects or not…but I was looking at that for the 720 composition setting and the 720 option is defaulted at 29.97fps. I was expecting it to be 59.94. I can change it…but from the discussion we had, I was expecting 59.94 to be the default.

    Thoughts?

    Shane,

I know this is off topic…but what is your AVID setup? Do you run Media Composer? On the same system with your FCP? Any hardware?

I’ve been considering getting the AVID on my MacPro to fill in where FCP lacks…just wasn’t sure if it was worth it or not.

I can’t believe that I’ve been editing in Final Cut with my matrox hardware for 6 months and NEVER noticed that I didn’t have audio coming from my even channels…

My issue was that I only had channel 1 (thought it was mixing down to 1 channel) out to my mixer…after I posted, I continued to test and found that only odd channels had audio coming from them.

    I feel like an idiot…

There should be a button to retract a post! 🙂

    Shane,

I got brave…and downloaded the program. I’ve gotten it to work! Thanks so much…this is a huge timesaver.

Quick question on how to make it work better…when I export a batch list from FCP to select the clips to link it up to…it exports EVERYTHING from my bin. Is there a way to export a batch list of selected items? I just went into text editor and deleted the other stuff I didn’t want to mess with…

I’ve heard of butler…I’ll look into it.

One thing I miss is the 10 frame forward and back button…I used that ALL the time…I’m going to create a macro for 10 frames forward right now! 🙂
