Ahhh!
I though I had it working.
I can see exactly what you’ve done but for some reason the magnify effect is below the centre of my magnifying glass. I can move the anchor point of my magnify glass precomp to align it to where I want, but then when I move the position of the magnifying glass comp the effect loses its centre point

Hey Joe,
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated ! That makes perfect sense. I was just little stumped by it, because i’m so use to precomping and expecting effects to translate over. Handy information for the future though!

Comps are different sizes and continuously rasterize is checked.

Thanks for the reply. I’m using a single-node camera and this option isn’t available unfortunately. I’ve gone with keyframing the blur, looks better than I thought.

Thanks for the replies.
I kind of found a fix that worked for me. The 2 left over shape paths I had I just keyframed their position and scale and hid them behind the other shapes, so it appears as 2 shapes morphing into one.

Yeah I dedicate myself as much as I can around my 9-5. It’s just getting that progressive workflow, where I feel like I’m benefiting every day from putting in the time, but like you say you do have them tutorials where you don’t gain a lot.
I’ve definitely seen an improvement over 4 months, I’m just impatient and with motion graphics being soooo vast there’s times when I think ‘where the hell do I begin or go with all this stuff’. But with you saying 3 years to make anything of significance that tells me I’ve got a long way to go. I guess it’s just persistence and being motivated to learn everyday.
Thanks again!

Hi,
Thanks that seems to have improved the color, however I’m still seeing a lot of noise in my exports.
Is there a way of getting a 1080p export from quicktime as oppose to 1080i?

Sorry for bringing this up again, still trying to get my head around the effect.
I think I understand the method it’s just putting it together to achieve the desired effect.
Take a look at the 2 images, one of where I’m up to and the other what I want to achieve.
*That’s just some rough footage I’m working with to practice.

It’s basically the splitting up of the image I’m stuck at.Thanks,

I’ve come across a tutorial I think explains it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOZY7Yks6hI
However do you know how they’ve managed to have the white come across screen and then rotate down?
Thanks
