Any ideas for a workaround? Driving me insane!

    Thanks

Just a bit more context. The animation is a zoom into the text as a transition to my white textured background.

Thanks for the reply. I did what you said however when I extrude downwards it was leaving a cap the on the extrude segments so the the extrude isn’t visible from the top.

    See from this pic

I’m no longer going to extrude the model though as it’s so minimal on a vinyl I doubt it would be visible, although I’d be curious as to the reason for this issue for future reference.

I do have another problem… I’m trying to select this inner circle to delete out, as you can see I’ve created the extrude but when I go to select it (with loop selection and the selection tool radius down to 1) it bypasses the geometry line and selects more polygons than I want, how do I fix this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Could you provide the method for using the bounce feature in particular please? I had a quick go myself setting the floor layer to ‘RoasterBottom’ but it didn’t seem to have any effect.

I’m only 6 months in to learning motion graphics and my approach for the last 3 months has been to create a brief, do the research, sketch out a concept along with rough ideas of how i’ll pull the effects off. Kinda so I can learn on the job and not limit/constrain my ideas.

Like a said with this specific effect I was thinking Particular and Newton but without much research and now I’ve come up short.

At the time of doing this project I set myself rules, one being ‘it all has to be 2d’, as at the time I hadn’t even opened Cinema 4D and knew very little about 3D, however this last week, I began introduction tutorials for Cinema…

I’m aware of the rigid body physics you mention and I see how that would work so I may have to break my rules. A newbie question though, say I recreate the roaster in C4D do you reckon it would be possible to get it to look similar to the one I’ve made in Illustrator? As I’ve shaded it to appear 3D anyway, I’m just thinking with it being a basic model.

    Thanks for your help,

    – Jason

  • “Imperative” might be too strong of a word, but yes I’m talking from the point of going it alone.. at least until I get an opportunity to be part of a creative team.

Thanks. I may consider switching out my 128gb ssd in that case

Wow. That plugin is unreal. Didn’t know that was possible. Mind Blown.

I use Illustrator, Premiere and Photoshop also.

How big is the difference in performance between an internal SSD and an external one?

I’m currently working on a lyric video with a ton of comps and textures overlayed

It just will not work, totally stumped. I’ve replicated what you’ve done in the project file you upload. I can create a new comp and it all works exactly as you say, but for some reason I can’t achieve it inside my main comp. The magnification doesn’t stay centred to my magnifying glass.

I don’t suppose you know of another effect to achieve a magnification look?

    Thanks for your time helping!
