OK, so i finally resolved this, what I had to do was export the after effects project into cinema4d, the export from c4d as an OBj into maya. Then in maya you will have a mesh made up of all your solids from after effects, its pretty messy… but I got the job done

Right, if you watch from this video at around 1:01 to 1:35 or so you will get the exact idea of what Im doing, Im using these solids to remodel the map “Raid” from Black Ops 2, the guy in this vid does it using cinema4d howverr and i want tot do my modelling in Maya asd it is the 3D software I like the most and want to learn. It frustrates me how easy it is for him to get his solids into c4d but for maya it seemingly impossible Eric, verry confused indeed. I may look into the Nulls idea instead if you can help me out in replicating the solids thing with nulls
    Thanks

July 28, 2018 at 5:45 pm in reply to: where is the error in this expression?

I have some keyframes set on a transform that I added to an adjustment layer, I then used the linear(effect(transform)scale),100,105,0,1) (or whatever it is) expression to link my s_shake settings to the transform so it shakes at the same time as the scale goes up but idk why it gives me an error, it is definitely a bug

Ok thanks for your response really appreciate it, I am running the latest version of after effects cc2018 and all the latest updates as I’m using creative cloud membership. I was advised by Adobe support to install more ram and I did, I purchased 16GB ram DDR4 from 8gb DDR4, soo it cant be a ram issue however i do not mind that i have done this anyway as I wanted to upgrade and it was the perfect excuse to do so ☺
I have got a lot of 3rd party plug ins installed and I am using s_shake, Looks, s_dissolve looks and I believe thats all the 3rd party plug ins i believe in this project, I also have motion blur on but turning it off doesn’t seem to fix anything

June 2, 2018 at 12:42 am in reply to: 600fps comp settings cause audio to reset?

I had a 600fps, camera tracked clip and tried importing a song over it but the song would not playback properly, so i changed the comp framerate too 59.94 and the 600fps, camera tracked footage was v ery choppy, anyways Ive decided to scrap it and restart completey. I think the best thing to do now is go to interpret footage in the project panel and change the framerate to 59.94 before importing the clip into the timeline.

Strange that the audio playback would not playback correctly though when the project was set to 600fps. I also imported the project from premiere pro into ae, just because i find it easier to cut the clips up in premiere than Ae.
