Tried that and it had the same effect. What I ended up doing was just rebuilding the box and it worked fine. I had some Comps in the project that worked and others that didn’t so I am just redoing the ones that weren’t working and hoping the fix sticks (that rhymed).

Here is a picture of the issue I’m having. I want the Back layer to be on top, but because I’m rotating the object around a lot and have a bunch of them to do I don’t want to have to adjust the layer order every time the object is moved.

I’m having the same issue. I had this problem back in October and thought it was specific to that project. Had roughly 200 layers and the layer order was causing elements to peak through.

Now I have a simple set up: 4 layers creating a box (front, back, left side, right side) when I rotate the object to the back side using 3d null layer the front layer pops through, as well as the sides get messed up based on the camera position (I also tried using a camera to see if that changed things but had the same result).

I don’t remember having this problem when I was doing work in CS3 and CS4 and strangely enough didn’t have this problem back in October when I was dealing with the same kind of stuff.

    Suggestions?

I’m running a fully up to date version of AE CS5.

This one is a little off of the topic of my original question, but how do you get the text to update on a scene selection page when you link it to an object.

Another thing is I am having to update both my text highlight and the text when changing the text in my menu from Encore.

More of a time saver at this point.

Ahha, guess I need to spend more time in encore. Thanks a million

    Fantastic, that worked.

Now my highlight colors aren’t staying consistent. I have them set up as a yellowish color “deda76” but they keep showing up a dark brownish color, which as you can tell doesn’t work to good with the background being brown.

Can’t seem to find a reasoning as some are working and others aren’t with all the settings apparently the same.

1929×1080, didn’t think of that. My thought was to use the same menu for the BluRay

That’s what I was figuring, but what confuses me is all of this played fine when I was using Windows XP Pro (32bit). I was figuring that upgrading to Win7 (64bit) would help speed things up – everything else on my computer runs faster except playback in Premiere.

Some updates on this issue. I just created a new project. The footage was shot on a Canon 60D and the 1080/24p H.264 Quicktime file was converted to Cineform using the latest version of NeoScene.

I placed the clip on the timeline and am still getting a lag, I made sure that it was playing in draft mode but that only moderately helped.

Is there anyway in CS4 to lower the playback quality to a percentage like in After effects or is CS5 required for that?

I haven’t cleared the cache, so I will give that a try.

I wiped the drive clean on the install and it is a completely different drive that the OS is installed on, the project is on the same drive letter but it is also a new drive (I copied the contents to it).

Here is my breakdown of what I did.
    Old Setup:
    80GB IDE drive (WinXP install – C:)
    500GB SATA 3.0 (Media Drive – D:)

    New Setup:
    500GB SATA 3.0 (Win7 install – C:)
1TB SATA 3.0 (Media Drive, contents copied over from 500GB drive file structure remains intact – D:)
