I used to do this when I got file trouble. It can find file errors and fix them on one go.

Run PowerShell as administrator and then copy and paste then run this command.

    sfc /scannow

It helped me many times with different errors, not just Vegas.

    Good luck.

Oops, that sounds super weird and annoying for you.

Do you have a paid license and an updated computer?

I understand you’ve checked everything, so the only thing I can think of is to do a clean installation, not so fun but the only thing I can come up with.

Check all the drivers, but you probably already did that too. I’ve had Vegas since version 6 and using 22 now and I have never heard of anything like this, very strange.

Avoid using “cleaners” they often mess up everything. I use Revo Uninstaller to be sure there are no leftovers in the system, included uninstaller often does a poor job.

Sorry I can’t help you, but I wish you good luck, so everything works nice again.👍

Select the video track how is bounded with the soundtrack.

Ungroup them so you can edit them separately using “Control+U”

Now you can cut, move, fade etc. only the selected soundtrack without affecting the videotrack. The same goes for video tracks.

Hopefully, you can remove that strange sound in the end. 👍

Start to do a safety copy of your drives so you don’t loos your files, in case it’s the drive how becomes old or damaged, even dying. When it comes and goes like that, it can be a sign of a bad cluster or something else wrong with your drive. Good luck.👍

Try separating the image/audio, then select the audio and simply cut it off at the end and smooth out the end.

  • Try to add “Video Event FX” to the picture, then search for border.

Or simply edit, add a border to the picture and then import.
