yeah they all seem to play fine in vlc player (although the mts converts are a little “framey” due to the interlacing issues)

just tried closing everything but the same clips still wont load and are red on timeline with no picture

i went on a vista forum which says its mornal for vista computers to have low physical memory

i think its just because ive lost the clips or something because theyre no showing picture in project media window either

ive just had a slight suspision that i imported them accidently striaght from the sd card and now that i have removed them from that and put on my hard drive is there anyway i can sort that.

actually that cant be it as i placed the converted ones on the hard drive. does the source file still have to be in same folder

getting very frustrated

i work off my external hard drive but on the computers hard drive i only have about 30gb left

on task manager under “performance and under memory ot says 2gb and under processes it says 68% physical memory?

also says this under physical memory on performance tab:

yeah its weird they were fine and now i cant get it playing

is there anyway i can reset them to their source file or something.

and vegas 8 32 bit

im still trying to get my vegas 10 trial but having problems geting vista sp2

i converted mpeg movie ones and mts fils to mjpeg avi files

the mpeg ones wree fine and the mts ones had interlace problems as you know but now there both not appearing at all

its set to blend fields, does the field order matter? mines on upper field first.

okay well i’ll try uninstalling ffdshow and installing vegas 10 trial (which i have tried in past but had problems due to vista service pack 2) but yeah i’ll try that again and see if ive got any another coding software interrupting it (i believe i downloaded some k lite codec pack and avisynth thing yesterday in effort to solve problem) then il try again.

is setting the deinterlace method all you need to do to solve the interlace problems?

once this problem is solved the next will be getting right quality to match right youtube file size!! joy!

yes i really do need to have a clean out of software to create a clean editing system. Im just the sort of person who reads a post that says to get software and it rarely works so ive just got a stack of conversion software etc.

i see messages about ffdshow alot but know little of it. And this ffdshow format came about because i converted the mts file to avi with a mjeg preset on avi demux so is that anything to do with it?

and no, frustratingly me vegas 8 freezes when i click on an mts file when trying to import it. I cant drop it on timeline either, the black circle with cross through it just shows implying that vegas doesnt like it. I have only been able to open it with avidemux.

shall i try to remove/uninstal ffdshow? what is it actually for?]
