Good morning or Good Afternoon. Here in Korea it’s morning, which is why I reply late.
Well I do have an AMD dual core 4200 machine with 3 gigs of ram on a AFX CS3.
Ok..I have since rendered that composition down to a jpeg sequence, cuz if it failed I wanted to have something.
Now, here’s my latest bummer:(and start of new thread)
My new jpeg sequence doesn’t match the size of the compisition from which it came from by about 1.5 seconds. That’s a nasty probelm for me cuz I need to rerender with the sound and give this video to someone today!!!!

Those are really great music videos and great musicians too. I hadn’t seen them before. Are they from the UK?
I really appreciate the advice. My friends’ band is getting quite popular in Canada and so I made him a simple video on a bluescreen with a bunch of animation. Actually it was just for fun….but I later I decided to put some effort into it. Anyways….his producer really liked it and asked for more. I’m quite the amateur, but I love the arts.

How much does it cost to get a decent green screen these days? One that rolls down nicely and extends outward on the floor 3 meters or so?

thanks…it’s actually not that bad. I only turned off autosave the day before cuz it was irritating me. MOstly i hadn’t ever played with pre-render. So it was something I didn’t know. I’ve already replaced the prerendered footage in the exact order. However, one strange thing is it now says “several files have gone missing”. Doesn’t seem like anything missing though…hmmm..

Well, the crazy thing is, I turned off autosave a day ago cuz it was irritating me. And somehow my pre-renders got saved into my latest Save version. Undoing is a nogo as well since the program as already opened and closed (actually crashed).

I agree. I think it is ridiculous! And doesn’t turn me on that much either!! I would expect miracles that dance in front of my computer at that price!!

Hi there!! Thanks for your help as always.
The awesome Andrew Kramer videos didn’t see to go into much detail on depth of field. One of his videos is 2d depth of field and the other cool long hallway video only addresses depth of field for about a minute.
Actually I’ve already made a cool 3d scene and at the start of it I had place a great window. And the camera basically is sitting there “looking out the window”. Suddenly a humming bird comes in. I’ve already made it into an invidual 3d layer. It’s 3d position is almost the same as the window yet I seem unable to focus on it well.
Could you possibly recommend a “particular custom camera” with some various settings which might help this scene.
And what approximately for the Focus Distance, Aperture, etc? -

I am really disappointed here to see such a ridiculous difference in Render times. I even just got two more gigabytes of RAM with no luck at all.
I’m running AMD 4200, 3 Gigs of RAM.
These Renders are very very disappointing for me.
Cuz I just finished two big projects and couldn’t foresee there’d ever be such a problem. AE7 was quite on my computer.HOpe there is an update soon!!!

Actually these are new projects I’ve made with with CS3. I am curious to see how they’d run on AE7 which I have on another XP installation on this computer. The downside is that I used Puppet Affect. So I’d be losing that data.
Still I test it to see if it still runs considerable faster.
I played around a lot and by enabling Open GL renderings, it went a fair bit faster. It seems like my CPU is not operating up to par. Next thing I will do is grab another Gigabyte of RAM and see if that helps things!!I really appreciate your help. It’s an awesome forum!!!
