to address their entire Apple interface situation as rapidly as possible. -
Saw Sony’s XDCAM logging and capture software(Beta version) in a demo by Apple last night. Proxies, in and out points, really slick. You can import stuff and work on FCP at the same time.
Panasonic, please get a move on and bring this stuff to market. Sony is offering this for free. Why should P2 users have to pay for HD Log, when
Sony is offering their interface for free? -
Why not make a photoshop file with all you text and run it through After Effects. Pretty simple and precise, need to import a Title safe marker into photoshop to help align things. My last crawl was 114″
long. Works like a charm. -
Maybe using the MacBook Pro as a combo backup device for the P2 system and an edit system is not a great idea?
Maybe get an inexpensive laptop for field backups and going with a Tower for editing would provide
better economy and safety? -
How about the Panasonic LH1700, Panasonic claims accurate color correction, it also has a built in waveform monitor and DC power imputs 2700.00.
I also like the idea of the Sony PVM-14L5 CTR 1500.00 discontinued, half the price, but the beast weighs 40 lbs, pretty tough for location work.
