Hi Edward-
It’s up to you entirely, just providing the option should you need it. The installer you’ve got on your computer will work. Let us know how it goes. -
Edward-
Can you check to see that the plugins are present in C:/Program Files/Adobe/Common/Plug-Ins/CS6/MediaCore . If they’re not there try reinstalling with the free trial installer found on this page.If they’re there or the installer doesn’t solve the issue, please contact support from the form found here.

June 19, 2013 at 1:57 pm in reply to: Adobe Premiere & After Effects CC (Creative Cloud): whassup?Hello-
I apologize for not posting this sooner.Mac:
For BCC/FEC, open Macintosh HD: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Common: Plugins: CS(whatever version you’re currently running): Media Core. This folder contains the plugins and they can be copied from this folder to Macintosh HD: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Common: Plugins: 7.0 to be implemented in Adobe CC.RED and FX will also have to be copied over but using a slightly different method. Open Macintosh HD: Applications: Adobe Premiere Pro CS(whatever version you’re currently running). In that folder you will need right click on Premiere Pro.app and select “Show Package Contents”. From there navigate to Premiere Pro: Contents: Plug-Ins: Common and copy the “Boris RED.bundle” or “BorisFX.bundle” files to the corresponding folder in Adobe Premiere CC.
PC:
It’s the same idea for existing PC installs, copy the files from C: Program Files: Adobe: Common: Plugins: CS(whatever): Media Core to the 7.0 Media Core folder and you should be all set. -
Hi Kuhnen-
You’re right about copying and pasting the BCC effects for CC.As for RED:
Open Macintosh HD: Applications: Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. In that folder you will need right click on Premiere Pro.app and select “Show Package Contents”. From there navigate to Premiere Pro: Contents: Plug-Ins: Common and copy the “Boris RED.bundle” files to the corresponding folder in Adobe Premiere CC (Macintosh HD: Applications: Adobe Premiere Pro CC: right click on Premiere Pro.app, select “Show Package Contents”:Contents: Plug-Ins: Common).Hope that helps!

Michael-
To create a Kinetic Type effect with Boris RED, look to the motion controls for a 3D title. These controls will allow you to animate your titles in X,Y, and Z space using keyframes. There are a couple of approaches to a depth of field effect depending on the type of footage you’re working with. If you’re looking to create a title with DOF you’d use a 3D container for your title track and the background layers, the controls for the container will have a DOF slider. If you’ve got footage that you’re looking to create a DOF look on then you should use the Z-Blur filter, Z here standing for Z space.

Hi Mark-
Though this is geared more towards title effects and transitions, you might be able to apply the ideas from this tutorial to accomplish the effect you’re looking for: https://www.borisfx.com/videos/RED/Title-Effect-Animations.php . Look to about the 11 minute mark for a good rundown on a smoke style effect. -

It sounds like you might need to recreate your tracking data in the later clip.Regardless, would you mind emailing us from https://www.borisfx.com/support/form.php ? If we can get your project we can do some testing to determine exactly what’s going on.

Zhang-
Yes, RED in standalone is also a 64 bit app that will take full advantage of existing memory and extensions. -
