Has anyone had success with creating Kinetic Type effects and titling with Boris Red? Can you create shallow DOF with Red?

    Michael-
To create a Kinetic Type effect with Boris RED, look to the motion controls for a 3D title. These controls will allow you to animate your titles in X,Y, and Z space using keyframes.

There are a couple of approaches to a depth of field effect depending on the type of footage you’re working with. If you’re looking to create a title with DOF you’d use a 3D container for your title track and the background layers, the controls for the container will have a DOF slider. If you’ve got footage that you’re looking to create a DOF look on then you should use the Z-Blur filter, Z here standing for Z space.
