years ago (using vegas 7 when it was brand new to give you a time frame) I had something similar happen to me and i never found out why it happened, but I was able to work around it by using a separate program to render the source material into an easier to work with file.. In my case I had access to Sorenson Squeeze and was able to use that to render into a different format and then ran the edit with vegas and it ran fine…
I know Sorenson Squeeze is a bit pricey but maybe a tool like handbrake can do it for you? It’s something to give a shot anyway…
Good luck!

Well, you’re working uncompressed, and you have a bunch of pictures, now, imagine your one picture, 30 times and imagine the file size then… now, think, that’s just one second of video…
plus, if your pictures are jpeg’s, their pretty well compressed at that size and in your video you’re having them uncompressed…
Just my uninformed and misformed thoughts…
Good luck!

March 23, 2016 at 8:27 pm in reply to: Off Topic-Making a good filmmaker website to get clientsIf you want my opinion (I know, you didn’t ask, but hey, why not), and feel free to ignore me if you want, I would think that for what you’re looking to do it means much more about who you know than how you market on a web site… I am not putting down having and using a web site (Hell, I’ve made my fair share of sites and charge to make em for others) and I think you should have a site, but for this particular area, it’s much more about who you know…
I believe this because those ‘clients’ who would be looking to hire someone like that, will be asking people in the ‘industry’ for recommendations…
That’s just my thoughts.. I’m not a marketing expert, but I have taken many sales and marketing classes that that’s the impression I get from the situation you describe.
Still, I’d suggest making (or having made) a web site… I’ll even help you do it if you want to discus it with me…

You should check your render settings… it would need to be set to the same height and width proportions as the preview window…
I’ve had the same issues in the past..

there is different settings in most games to hide different parts of the screen (including the hud)…
I did a 30 second look and if you press H in game it may hide the hud, search online to hide more parts of the screen for you…

A thought that I’ve used before was to pre-render my source into a format that’s suitable for editing… as little compression as possible and like 30 mbps throughput…
That’d be a simple starting point to see if it’s the source files that are causing your problem…

February 14, 2016 at 9:56 am in reply to: I can’t figue out how to render 1080p MPEG-2 with PCM audio.I often use Sorenson Squeeze and I believe it has the ability to do this.. I make similar mpeg 2 video’s using it myself…
Another to try is Handbreak, I believe that one’s free and it might work well for you…
The problem with using these tools is that you’d still have to render it in Vegas first, but in a higher quality video and let the other tool bring it down to what you want the final file to be…

I’ve done very similar things using simple Power Point (just with Mouse, not touch screen). So, that’s something I’d check out…
I’d be very interested in if this works, if not, what else has been tried…
I’ll look further into this too, when I have a few minutes and remember…
