I’m planning to make short movie from a game called arma 3, so i wanned to cut the HUD off, like how much ammo you have or server info. Even better if there is other solution than cutting.

If you just want to crop off the top or bottom of the display you can use the Pan/Crop tool which is on every event on the timeline.

Aha, thank you for the quick response. I think i will pixelate the detail i dont want to be shown cause with cutting i take out some details.

I tried to find examples of the game but all of the screen shots from the game on their web site had no hud showing.

If you really want to get crazy, there is a VirtualDub plug-in called LogoAway that will remove logos from broadcast recorded video. It might work in this case. It blends surrounding pixels to try and erase a logo but it does not plug into Movie Studio or Vegas Pro. You have to process your video with VirtualDub first and that only works with AVI files.

It might not be worth the trouble and a simple Pixelate + Gaussian Bur might be just as good.

Record in 1080 and crop the meat out to 720p. Most games will have a full screen mode in settings with no overlays.

there is different settings in most games to hide different parts of the screen (including the hud)…

I did a 30 second look and if you press H in game it may hide the hud, search online to hide more parts of the screen for you…

    Mahalo!
