Since the film is direct-to-dvd, we only really need an audio only EDL, but that still leaves me with the same problem, I guess. I suppose I could change the sound that was in camera to reflect the slate TC.

  • Solved it.
The canvas was set to “wireframe” instead of “image+wireframe.”

The film was shot in 1080p @23.98
We converted it down to 720p24 and will online it later.
The TV is the SONY KD-34XBR70.
In the Decklink section of System Prefs. it says that it is a Decklink Extreme Card.
Hope this helps you, because I would love for this to work.
    Thank you,

I have it narrowed down now.
The problem is with subclips only.
I am fairly new to this, and got in with some good people who were willing to give me a chance being an assistant editor on a few films. The reason I say this is because this seems to me to be an amateur mistake.
I started out this project syncing the sound on the timeline and dumping it back into the browser as a subclip.
I alter found out about the “merge clips” feature and have used that since.

So I guess what I need to do is re-sync all of the master clips using the merge clips feature, and then put them back into the editor’s project.

That brings me to a NEW QUESTION: How do I bring the new clips into his project and make his sequences read the media from the re-sunc master clips?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Could this be an issue with one machine being a G5 and the other an Intel?
I can’t see why it would, but I have run out of ideas.

About half of the footage is Merged Clips, and the other half is not.
Sound is usually to the B Camera, and not to the A Camera.
So I had to merge the audio from the sound guys to the A Camera Footage.

The only thing I could think of was if the editor renamed some of the files (he is used to Avid). I checked this about a week ago, and he had. I fixed the problem, and now I have everything that he has on my drives.
