Go to Window and bring up audio track mixer. Click the ‘R’ on the track you want to record on, then the record symbol below, and play. Off you go. Make sure you’ve selected your recording device from Audio Hardware in Preferences first. It’ll save it wherever you’ve got your scratch disks saved, or where you save your project. Right click a recorded clip and reveal in finder if you lose one. Hope thats helped

June 20, 2015 at 12:30 am in reply to: Adobe Premiere 2015 lagging?!?!

Irritating. Things i’d do: Set playback resolution to lower quality (bottom right menu in playback window).. do a PRAM reset..(hold cmd, alt, p, r on startup, atlas 4 times) Clear media cache in premiere pro (premiere, preferences i think)

Cant think of any others, it may not like it if your sequence settings aren’t right, but shouldn’t affect too much.. Best of luck

FYI, i’ve had this same issue only since upgrading to Yosemite…The fun part is if you in and out a clip, chuck it on the timeline, and it gives you a different in and out…..

Same problem. May have a fix. Its exporting. I’ve got a timeline of MXF files, pngs, .movs and some other stuff. Premiere hates it. Plays fine, just won’t render or export. Tried pro res, h264, match seq settings, blah blah blah…

Exporting as MPEG2. MXF seems to like Mpeg 2. The only other thing I can think of is a horrible solution which is to bring all your clips through XDCam transfer or something similar to cover them to .mov. Something like that.

Anyway…try this.. Unknown error isn’t very helpful, cheers Adobe. Good luck

Not a problem! I hope you’ve got it sorted now. I would have broken the desk with my head…

Frustrating.. I’ve had similar issues before and the things I looked at is checking if the bit rate for each was the same, if all were 48 khz and so on. Does it drift out of sync? Or is it immediately out of sync? I may be wrong but I would suggest syncing one to another by sound, not by timecode, go frame by frame to the first ‘blip’ of sound, and sync to that… Hope thats been useful 🙂 Good luck

Thanks for the reply. I thought as much..it’s a shame a lot of people don’t want to pay for the time to make it better. I was handed a rough cut show and 2 days to single handedly do all of the above, and as you say, something were abandoned…What you described would be ideal, but sadly could not be.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments 🙂

Worth mentioning that there’s only a guide voice in it at the moment too
