    a = thisComp.layer(“sound keys”).effect(“Sound Keys”)(“Output 1”)*3;
    b = thisComp.layer(“sound keys”).effect(“Sound Keys”)(“Output 2”)*6;
    c = thisComp.layer(“sound keys”).effect(“Sound Keys”)(“Output 3”)*10;

    y = a + b + c

    value = y

    wiggle(y,y)

    got it! 🙂

    Ahh, are you using R12 because I’m getting unknown file format……I’m on 11.5, sorry Adam!

    Ok, I see now that the gravity has to be over the 1000 project gravity settings. I expected there to be an exclude tab in the gravity but there isn’t. How do you exclude the cube from the equation then?!

    Thanks Adam! 🙂

    Ahhh, so it’s the linear, angular dampening which holds the pieces in place ready for the gravity to kick in and pull them up……that’s a really great technique! 🙂

    However, I can’t get the gravity to kick in. I’ve added the scene file…..this was very much set-up just to work out the techniques involved, so please forgive the crudeness…..

    I’m using the Destruction plug-in by Adam Swab. I then connect all the children into one editable piece, which has a Rigid body tag on it. That then gets smashed with another object with a rigid body tag…..

    Thanks Adam…

    This sounds interesting!

    However, all the ways in which I can find to adjust the shape layer size, do effect the stroke size.

    Can I ask which parameter you are adjusting exactly? Also there are no variables in the drop down menus of the layer. There is a section called path, but without variables I’m not sure how to animate it.

    Sorry, if I’m being a bit stupid regarding this. I’m new to shape layers! 🙂

    Many thanks

    That does what I want. Except I need a standalone shape which I can animate to audio. Like a normal PNG of a circle made a PS, which behaves like the radio waves effect in terms of it’s pixel width of scale.

    Are you with me? 🙂

    September 28, 2010 at 5:29 pm in reply to: turning off / changing target on a target camera

    I used the easycam for the first animation, cutting between them using stage, but the results are very start / stop. I need something to produce fluid results. I have to fluidly travel around 7 targets in a complex terrain……

    Steadycam looks good but I’ve got R11.5 on a 64bit system, and it says 10 – 11. Do you know if it works for 11.5 / 64 bit?

    Also, it says it’s got 4 target placements, but once you have moved past the first three say, can you keyframe to replace them?

    Many thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Cory,

    thank you again so much for you response. Where can I find the slow down and speed points. It’s these i was having trouble locating.

    many thanks…………
