  • I’m pretty sure that is not the problem, What I did was copy and paste part of the movie that had dropped frames and I opened a new project and pasted in a small clip, I also closed the big project to ensure I had enough power and sure enough the dropped frames were still there..

I am sure its not a hardware issue where the computer can’t handle and view the frames but handbrake actually rendered it out like that and must not have did it properly

But it doesn’t make sense that it decides to drop frames in Vegas because it plays perfectly when I view it in VLV and media player

Yes I understand that but ive followed many different tutorials and I make sure i follow everything, when i see them right click on there videos it says its 59.97 frames! But mine says 29.97! It makes no sense because on my cannon I have the option to shoot as 24, 29, or 60 frames! I can even see a visual difference while watching the 24 shot content and the 60, when i look at the clip details on camera it tells me everything and it says 59.97 for the frame rate.

My real and only problem is that vegas doesnt see it as 60 frames, and i know that for sure because in countless different tutorials they cant stress enough they say “your clip has to be 59 frames or else you will get warping!”

And that is definetly the problem im having warping

This is weird, I have been able everytime to open it in 13 but it takes a very very long time about an hour everytime, but all of a sudden now I do not think it will be opening anymore…

Its been over 2 hours and it still is stuck at 41 percent.

Ive tried to see if filesurogate was running but it isnt there once vegas is closed, im not sure what resmon is

Other than that I am so confused why it is so difficult to just open my project, once its open its not like its slow or anything I can edit and work with it fine once its open

    Thank you for your help!

I managed to find a solution the other day, i simply just installed the newest version of Vegas (13) I had 12 and it was able to open it!

Im assuming it was some type of error with a sound file or video or who knows, eaither way whatever it was 13 obviously was able to handle it!

June 8, 2014 at 6:10 pm in reply to: Cell Phone Video Frame Rate Lag Problem

Thanks! I never knew you could do that, awesome but unfortunately the problem is the exact same no matter what I do it will lag at certain points (The exact same points).

I tried 30.00 frames and even 30.007 (which is what the clip is if I right click on it and go to properties) and it still will lag at the same parts that it did even when it was at 29.97 frames

I even tried to disable resample and try rendering it out as 30.007 and 29.97 and still the same results

    Any ideas?

OMG JOHN THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I thought that since it said “AVC” format that it wouldnt be Mp4 and just say AVC or something else, and when I clicked on the Memory stick option I didnt bother to check if AVC would have and HD setting because the Memory stick one did not I just assumed. wow thank you so much! I just rendered it out and it is FLAWLESS NOW!!! 🙂 Thank you so much you just saved me days of worry and stress you guys are the best!

  • Everytime I render with 12 the Mp4s come out very terrible, random blocky pixels will pop up unexplainably, it will be showing one clip from the same shot and pixels will just blow up and then disapear in certain spots, also when viewed in Windows Media Player I get an added random blocky artifacts all over the place in random areas.

But if this is rendered in 10 it works perfectly i get the mp4 flawlessly with no problems, that is when I render with Mainconcept mp4

For some reason mainconcept mp4 will not do it for me in 12, even the Sony AVC will not work, there are only 3 options it gives, Memmorystick (which is standard definition and is the only mp4 option)

AVCHD (do not want to do this because my computer cant even handle the video once rendered as in all the other mts files)

And Bluray (Which i do not want eaither because i cant play it on any player)

But I know for a fact that there is nothing wrong with my MTS files because they play fine in windows media player and in vlc player, I also know there is nothing wrong with them because they can be edited in 10 and rendered flawlessly with no error.

I do not think it is some sort of plugin that i have in 12 that 10 doesnt have because I tried selecting one individual clip I knew had no effects or plugins attacted to and when copy and pasting that Vegas 10 still forces to close. Thanks for the help

Ok this is just so weird, i found out that choosing Sony AVC it gives me three options…

An option that only does standard definition

    An option called avchd

    and bluray

the bluray one doesnt even work once it is rendered as I cant open it to view it in any program

The Avchd one was the only one that I could view except it is rendered in M2ts format which gives me no other option to save as an mp4, and the weird thing is now the quality is amazing, it is perfect, except i noticed just like all other Mts files when you play them they lag and are completly unplayable and also it has a weird fast forwarding effect on it that doesnt play in Vegas or in VLC even though the settings are set to 29.97 which is what the files are.

So this leaves me with no other choice, the Mainconcept doesnt work, and this Sony AVC cant work eaither.

I tried to cleaverly copy and paste my project timeline into Vegas 10 (Because when rendered mainconcept in vegas 10 I get FLAWLESS mp4 renders) but everytime I paste it into 10 i just get a error message and vegas 10 has to close 🙁

So anyone have any more ideas I can try? Thanks
