[susan basham] “yes. 100% opacity @ 34 frames. 100 % Key frame is a full 8sec in.”
That’s strange, and hard to troubleshoot. Other than trying different types of keyframes, as Kuhnen suggested, my recommendations could be hit or miss:
– close the project, clean the media cache, and reopen
– drag another copy of the title from the Project panel onto the timeline; add keyframes and check whether the issue recurs
– animate a sample video clip with the same fade; if all is OK, undo the fade, copy the title with the problem fade, paste attributes onto the video clip, and check if the issue recurs; if all is still OK, repeat with a different title object
– if there are there other titles or clips layered on the timeline over/under the problem title, try turning off all other tracks to see if the issue persists -
Are the clips on dedicated tracks, or alternating on the same track?

Thanks for posting the screen shot. Opacity keyframes are my preferred method, too. It’s not clear whether there is a “real” issue on the timeline, or just a synch issue during playback. Is the text appearing at 100% opacity before the playhead gets to the keyframe when jogging each frame individually (i.e. not during playback)?

There are a few ways to address this. Here are some options:
– interpret the 15fps footage as 29.97 and maintain the NTSC format
– create a custom format with NTSC resolution and rectangular pixels but change to 15 fps
– create a custom format with a modified resolution, square pixels, and 15fpsAre there specific requirements for the delivered file?

Is your question regarding how to find the desired clips, or how to paste to multiple clips at the same time. If the latter, shift-click to select the desired clips, then paste attributes.

Does the issue occur in the encoded video or just during preview? How does it look when you go frame by frame through the sequence? What technique are you using to create the fade? Please post a screen capture of your timeline and the Effect Controls panel.

– The color correction effects can be used to increase dynamic range, deepen the saturation, add/remove a color cast, etc. (Fast Color Corrector, Luma Corrector, RGB Color Corrector, Three Way Color Corrector…).
– Masks coupled with the blur effects can simulate a shallow depth of field. -
The issue might be two or three steps removed from your uploaded file, so troubleshooting could be a challenge. The first step is to verify the audio quality exported from Premiere Pro and transcoded by Vimeo. Download the transcoded Vimeo movie and import it and the file you uploaded into Premiere Pro or Audition. Let us know if there are any issues with the audio or differences between the two files. If there is a problem with one of the files we can go from there. If everything is OK the issue probably lies elsewhere (Vimeo player, web browser, iPhone compatibility, etc).

The target bitrate is calculated as follows:
1GB/4hr = (1024^2 kB/GB)*(8 bits/byte)/(14,400 sec) = 583 kbps
Minimum acceptable picture quality can be maintained at about 0.07 bits per pixel when encoding with H.264. We can calculate bpp at different frames sizes and frame rates as follows:
(583×1024) / (1920x1080x30) = 0.01 bpp @ 1080p30
(583×1024) / (1280x720x30) = 0.02 bpp @ 720p30
(583×1024) / (854x480x30) = 0.05 bpp @ 480p30
(583×1024) / (854x480x24) = 0.06 bpp @ 480p24
(583×1024) / (854x480x20) = 0.07 bpp @ 480p20Therefore, in order to meet a target file size of 1GB and maintain acceptable picture quality a 4hr video should be encoded at 854×480 resolution with a frame rate of 20-24fps. If the video must be recorded at 29.97fps, try to keep the length closer to 3hr or relax the 1GB constraint.

Import the file into the new project. Premiere Pro will ask whether you want the entire project or specific sequences.
