I’ve got 12 gigs of RAM installed and from all the answers I do understand that i am putting a heavy load on both the hard ware and the soft ware. I do not have an Nvidia card installed, so I am not using the Mercury engine. Well, OK, fair enough. Thanks for the reactions

July 24, 2012 at 7:21 pm in reply to: Strange frame rate problem when exporting to Quick TimeQuick Time shopwed in the info window that the frame rate was 24,62 fps. It played in 25 fps though. But the composer for my film could not import the quick time into his soft ware. In the end I exported another quick time in 25 fps from the 24,62 one. That one was OK and everything stayed lipsync. It’s a problem I do not understand

July 15, 2012 at 2:04 pm in reply to: Trying to Edit AVCHD on CS6 and playback is choppy after 10 seconds…I am working on an 8 core Mac with 12 gigs of RAM and my AVCHD timeline also is quite choppy. Audio works on and off, mostly not sync. Very annoying

No, it was a regular H264 file. Turned out that the playback settings in QT had to be changed

Found the solution. I had an audio clip linked to the video. After unlinking, the clip showed up in the clip window

December 20, 2011 at 7:59 pm in reply to: Strange flikkering and render mistakes using Star Generator in BCC 7Hi Peter, Sorry, but what do you mean by PTR? Apart from that; yes this is a MPEG2 render 4:3 SD, so high compression. I’ll try a higher quality render later this evening and report back to you
