  • If you go to Mac HD/System/Library/Extensions and do a Get Info on the SxS driver, do you see version 1.1.2? If you are installing the Device and UDF drivers, are you doing the device driver first followed by the UDF?

You will need to re-enter the serial #. Older builds of 2.x would occasionally require the serial to be re-entered if there was a change to the network settings on the machine. This is no longer the case with v2.

Unless this stops when you remove the media card or change power supplies the camera should be looked at by Sony. Call 866 766 9272 and they will give you what you need to send it in to the L.A. office.

That’s it, please see my post on this topic, the driver version is actually 1.1.2 and is not labeled correctly on the site. Fixing this now.

John is correct in that CMU will not extract the GPS info though it does allow you to plot/follow it on a map. We are working with a few different software vendors on tools for extracting it but right now the capability is limited.

The GPS information is encoded as metadata. Currently you can use our Content Management Utility software to view the GPS info through your web browser.

Device Driver update should be confirmed shortly, in the meantime you can use the camera or either the SBACUS10 or SBACUS20 readers
