It’s really infuriating that they removed a feature that we could use to force the oftentimes flawed synchronization process when it re-orders things incorrectly. It was part of their dumbing down of the application, removing customizable features for the lowest-level users (lowest common denominator).

That “solution” is totally unresponsive to the issue. Obviously it’s possible re-export out a subtitle/caption asset that already exists. The bug that Adobe refuses to respect and fix is that exporting from a sequence that has subtitles/captions (edited down or not) remains impossible.

As such it certainly saddens me to think that people are struggling with the mystery of this issue (to the extent it applies) when removal of Magic Bullet Looks would make the problem disappear for most. I still find it amazing that Red Giant has let this go for so long.

One thing for very sure, that awful, bug-laden plug-in Red Giant Magic Bullet Looks keeps getting worse with each new “update” and it causes the exact problem described here. DELETE!

Actually, it’s much more efficient (and effective) to tick the box within Warp at Premiere for Detailed Analysis, and enable its own rolling shutter fix.

Thanks, I’m more chilled out about this now after a dialogue over at the Boris FX Facebook Page. As noted there, I still think that it’s preferable to use the Custom install option and specify the directory then as such, rather than moving the file locations post-installation as the installer (and hence un-installer) loses track of where they are located.

Anyway, they appear to be compatible based on my one spot check on Windows 8 64-bit with Premiere Pro CC, but it remains to be seen how the individual plug-ins will behave. (It leaves me wondering how Red Giant Software needed to revise their plug-ins for CC compatibility, while Boris FX stayed A-OK.)

Exactly, this goes straight to the heart of the problem. Even at a very high level today, when Adobe had an international chat session showcasing Premiere CC’s new features, I confronted them with this issue and they pretended to be clueless — or literally are clueless. Which is amazing, because no one simply nails their camera-switching choices at the Multi-Camera Monitor, and fine-tuning down in the Timeline is essential. The fact that playback, when the Timeline is activated, does not gang to the Multi-Camera Monitor is UTTERLY LAUGHABLE and inexcusable. We’ve been complaining about this for ages and Adobe doesn’t listen.

Actually, we’re not even talking about that level of complexity. Adobe has failed at bringing its Blu-Ray authoring up to bare minimum spec here, where the loop point is back to the SAME menu (compared to a different one as you posit). All Blu-Ray menus are capable of doing this without a gap — just not any ones created by Encore, for the past half decade.
