The following comes from Adobe’s PDF documentation – “Using the Multi-Camera Source Sequence dialog box”

In the section about choosing how to set-up the audio, one of the choices is to select “Switch Audio.” I’m trying ot understand what this choice does. Here is Adobe’s explanation –

“Select Switch Audio when you want the audio to switch with its linked video. This setting unmutes all audio. It enables multicam editing on both the video and audio of the source sequence, when the audio follows video setting is enabled in the Program monitor. This setting also maps multi-mono source audio into a single adaptive audio track.”

Since I need to switch audio between my different camera’s as much as I need to switch the video this looks like the choice for me, however I have no idea what “maps multi-mono source audio into a single adaptive audio track” means. Can anyone clarify, because the manual does not.

Also, it sounds like I can switch audio by using the “audio follow video” feature, but is it possible to switch audio without switching the video ?

On-line help is fine when you have specific questions but when trying to figure out a whole workflow you need documentation, especially if your first considering switching in the first place. Unless the complete on-line help is available for non-subscribers it doesn’t do anything for me at all at this point.

A drawback of all the quick releases the Cloud enables is that the documentation lags far behind. The PDF with all it’s “what’s new in this release” for each update might be fine for those who are upgrading, but for those like myself who are starting from scratch, the PDF is a little “slim.”

Case in point: I’m trying to understand the multi-cam workflow. The current PDF has multi-cam info spread all over the place, sometimes listed under multi-cam, other times not, and there is no index.

Frankenheimer was a wonderful director, great use of moving camera in many of his films. There are many other famous long takes to admire, including the amazing opening shot of Wells’ “Touch of Evil.”

But for non New Yorkers, it’s important to note that Tekserve is the largest non-apple Mac only store in the region, while B&H is a huge camera and video retail store with rock bottom prices. No surprise that Tekserve gets stock from Apple before B&H.

You left out the florist, but let’s see, that’s 3 cases in a country of 300 million, and in each case the business owner, instead of just politely refusing the business, made a a point of standing on their religious “right” to be a bigot. Yes, I’m definitely worried about this now, might have to take out special “I’m an idiot” insurance to cover the liability.
