  • Thanks Steve, but if it doesn’t help, it would be nice if someone responded who has experiences with the same combination. I let you know.

    Very recognizable.
I have the same experience with clips which now have to be paid for and previously had been covered by the subscription. I also have the impression that the (now separate) music library has shrunk. Me too had a disagreement about the date of automatic renewal.
    Food for thought … ????

    Hi Ole,

I don’t recognize this Preferences-screen. Is this a GPU tweak program or something?

Hi John, I have checked everything and also tried it with a new laptop (Windows 10) and a fresh install of VP13, but still no sound. And as mentioned earlier, playing it from the  timeline goes well.

As multichannel audio device I’m using a Focusrite 2i4 USB audio interface.
Is there anyone who has experience with multi-channel audio using such a device?

    Thanks for your reaction John.

I will set the sample frequency to 48KHz.

About the number of busses: In the project properties the talk about the number of stereo busses. In my project I have 2 stereo tracks. That’s wy I set it to 2. If I remember correctly, in your tutorial mono tracks are used. If 4 busses are needed, how do I make the mapping of the 2 stereo tracks because output 1 and output 2 are coupled. Moreover, when playing the timeline, sound comes through the right channels.

For channel mapping see Mixing Console picture. Is this o.k.?

Yes, no new versions anymore. The technical concept is outdated, he said.

Sad message! I was at IBC 2015 and spoke there with Gary Rebholz about the future of Vegas Pro. VP will be maintained he said, but there will be no version 14.

March 21, 2013 at 7:24 pm in reply to: Sony Vegas Pro 12 Preview Monitor Issue

    Hi Remy,

Recently, I have the same problem. Very annoying!
It could be that it is introduced with one of the latest updates: VP build 394 to 486 or the Catalyst update of 12.8 to 13.1 .

But I tried it on another PC with exactly the same spec’s except for the GPU (NVidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti instead of ATI Radeon HD5750 on my editing PC) => No problem!

Do you already have a response from Sony?

    Hi Ken,
Very recognizable, if not exactly the same. Problems started with VP11. I have the same problems on another PC that is substantially identical. I tried everything, including: clean boot, BIOS settings, compatibility mode (Run setting), reinstall, disabling (all) codecs etc..

    System specifications:
    – Motherboard: Gigabyte EX58-Extreme
    – CPU: i7-920
    – Memory 12GB
    – Video card: HD5750 (Catalyst 12.8)
    – Windows 7 64 bit

I intend to try it with a complete new system setup, but I look up against the effort it will take.

B.t.w what are your system specifications?
