Hi,
As we switched the machine on today same problem.
The Mac version was always called AJA LHe and Windows version was called XENA . The card is AJA LHe so do I need to flash the card?
If yes where can I download the utility?

Hi,
Thks for your replies.We just changed the card to SLOT 2 of MACpro as advised by Kona support documents and it seems to be okay.Doing a vigarous check of the system.Will update tommorow.

Hi,
Does EX3 also cannot sent 1080 24p thru HD-SDI?
If we use memory cards whether it is SxS or Nanoflash why is expensive cards such as AJA Kona required..for final mastering I suppose ..? This also means death of feeder VTR’s etc.Your thoughts please

Sony 1500A has the HD-SDI input but 1500 does not have.Which model you are using.

Hi Craig,
Thks for your reply.We will be shooting in EX3 and edit on FCP6 with AJA Kona 3 card.
The project is a full length regional film which will have a theatrical release and digital cinema release.
Do you think the camera and edit setup is good enough for reasanably good results and what precautions should we take during shoot and edit?

What should be the workflow for any Indie Film Shot on EX3..Please some qurries here if for theatere release on 35mm or D-Cinema :-
1. Shooting 1080p/24fps or 720p/24fps?
2. Capturing thru HD-SDI of Camera thru AJA Kona 3 to FCP or copying the XDCAM files from card to HDD?
3. Using Pro res for render and captures ?

How about LOMO FIlm lenses with DOF adapters such as LETUS and EX1 or EX3.
Anyone tested this combination

You should visit http://www.avid.com and get your facts.
Avid Composer works only with AVID MOJO Analog or SDI or AVID Adrenaline.

Three weeks before AVID announced the upgrades I received a letter from our AVID rep(Asia) to upgrade my Xpress with Mojo to Composer with MOJO SDI for around Rs 2,80,000 that should be USD6000 (Aprox).It was a limited period offer.
I would have purchased had I not been knowing the developments at AVID.
So my suggestion should be to keep yourself updated.

Regarding upgrade, the AVID rep is misrepresenting .
YOU CAN USE YOUR AVID NON SDI MOJO WITH AVID COMPOSER.I AM USING IT.
Just go ahead…book your upgrade at sites like http://www.videoguys.com and enjoy the DIFFERENCE.
