Oops, forgot that you can choose “straight” when you export. Problem solved.

  • This looks interesting, would you mind explaining a bit about the %-thing, how and when it’s used?

Ok! And do I need to by any hardware for that? Should I by it from matrox?

    Thanks!

You could use the numbers effect if you want to. Just select “Number [Leading Zeros] in the “type” option.

I would say that’s pretty close. It looks like they used a thinner and more ireggular font.

    Hi Gerardo!

I don’t really se the question here. Are you having some problems with doing it the way you described?

The only thing I would say about is that I don’t really see a reason to first compress it with h.264, and then compress it again to flash. Render it out from AE uncompressed, and then encode it to flash.

Awesome, thank you very much Todd!
Is there anyone who could help me with the exporting?

What codec are you using for your render? I have had similar problems when rendering to qicktime animation, with keyframes enabled every 24th frame.

For me, there where nothing wrong with the file itself, but quicktime player couldn’t quite handle it. When imported to into a editing software it worked great. (I know, shouldn’t use keyframes like that, but it was just a test-render).

    So, try another codec.

I can confirm that too, I have pretty much the same specs as you do intel i7 (at 2.67ghz, so a bit slower), and 12 gbs of ram, and i get about 7 secs too.

And just to clarify, this does not mean that you are not able to make projects longer than 42 seconds, it just means that you can only preview 42 seconds at a time.

If you want to see your whole project in realtime, you can always render it out to a file.

And by the way, this 42 seconds is not something fixed, if you use a smaller comp your RAM preview will be longer, and if you use a bigger comp it will be shorter. And the time it takes to render the RAM preview depends on what kind of animation and which effects you use.

To get a longer preview, you can change your resolution to a lower setting.

But I guess this is all in the link that Dave LaRonde provided, so this post is probably quite unnecessary. 🙂
