The ‘freeware’ comment was made through ignorance and urgency…I was just lost in the sea of possibilities and didn’t know where to begin!

Thank you. I have asked if he (my client) has the latest version of quicktime but the answer was ‘wooly’. Thanks for alternative export method, can I do this via quicktime conversion? I’m out of my usual tried and tested comfort zone. Given the system i’m working on how should i proceed?

I’m shooting HDV and down converting to SD in fcp studio 5.1.4 .It’s a sample reel (trailer for simplicity) that he’d like to bung on his website, and youtube. I’ve always ‘delivered’ quicktimes (dv pal) to clients…and film to festivals etc and never had a problem. I just need to get him the best quality video that he can then do what he likes with. In fact in general I’d like to be exporting the best possible NOT QUICKTIME video to disc for clients without them experiencing problems like this…pc or mac?!

Any help vital and very welcome..thank you!

I’m new here too, and am having the exact same issues. Did you get anywhere? Did anyone help? My post sat amongst the tumbleweeds over on Apple Discussions 🙁
