Is it possible to put timecode to an audio track of Canon 5D Mark II? You have to be connected to a DSLR constantly yes or a genlock is enough?

From what I see, these codecs come only with Avid NLE. Hmm.. Is there any way not to buy Avid and use them? I am not Avid user.

I will try it out Mike. Actually I sent the video files in DNxHD codec to postproduction company and they converted them to XDCAM HD (mov). But it would be good to learn the trick for future.

Yes, they want it in quicktime mov container
